How to Use CGDI Benz Prog Clean W164 ISM/DSM/ESM?

CGDI prog MB can do EIS, read/ write key, compute password/ generate EE, auto computer and ELV. This article will highlight the auto computer function.

Here is the guide to clean ISM/ DSM/ESM for Benz W164 with this CGDI MB  key programmer.

Step1: Remove the ISM/ DSM/ESM from vehicle

Step 2: Open CGDI MB software

Select “Auto Computer”-> “Type W164”-> “ISM/ DSM/ESM”

Choose “Wiring Diagram”

The wiring diagram will appear as below

Please kindly notice:

ISM/ DSM/ESM requires external 12v power supply

Connect CGDI MB key programmer with automation transmission module via OBD

Step 3: Click “Read” to read out the module information

Click “Get” to calculate the password

A message will show on the screen “Erase password calculated successfully”

Click “OK”

Step 4: Select “Erase” to erase the password

Erase successfully

Step 5: Click “Read” again to check the ISM/ DSM/ESM status, it has been erased successfully
